Gaming and Simulations Based Learning: Applications for Medicine Speaker: Tiffany Grunwald, MD, MSed is a surgical Resident in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Dr. Grunwald is working in a collaborative effort with the schools of Medicine, Education, Film, Engineering and the Institute for Multimedia Literacy to further the use of multimedia instruction and synthetic environments is surgical education. Her interests in multimedia literacy stem from a belief that physicians can improve the way they communicate with colleagues and patients using multimedia to cross educational, language and cultural boundaries. Dr. Grunwald received a medical degree from the University of Southern California and graduated with highest distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has completed her general surgery training at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, recently completed a Master's degree in surgical education and has begun her training in Plastic Reconstructive surgery.
